If you are unable to communicate in Japanese, we ask that you have an interpreter accompany you to your consultation. The hospital can arrange Chinese and Korean interpreters, but numbers are limited, so we ask that, as far as possible, you attend the hospital with your own interpreter.
If you are accompanied by an interpreter whom you have arranged yourself, you will be asked to sign and submit a Letter of Agreement Regarding the Use of an External Interpreter.
If you have a Japanese health insurance card
*If you do not bring your health insurance card with you to the hospital, you will be asked to pay the full amount yourself.

If attending Ito Hospital for the first time, in addition to your health insurance card, from the perspective of medical safety, please ensure that you bring with you some form of identification with a photograph attached (e.g., Residence Card, passport, driver's license, Individual Number Card). Your cooperation is appreciated.

2. Medication Record Book
Please bring with you any medication you are currently taking and your medication record book (information on what medications you are taking). -
3. Other documents
Please bring with you any referrals, medical certificates, or documents describing your symptoms and treatment that you may have. If you have any test results, discharge records, or other relevant documentation from your own country, please have them translated into Japanese or English by a professional translator and bring them with you as hard copies. -
4. Image data
If you have any image data, please bring it on a CD-ROM.
If you do not have a Japanese health insurance card
- 1. From January 1, 2025, any treatment provided to non-Japanese patients who do not have Japanese public medical insurance will be charged at a rate of 30 yen per medical remuneration point (excluding consumption tax).

2. Other documents
Please have any test results, discharge summaries, pathological results, or other relevant documentation from your own country translated into Japanese or English by a professional translator and bring them with you as hard copies. If these documents are not translated, you may not be able to receive care. -
3. Attendance by a representative
If the patient is unable to attend the hospital for unavoidable reasons and an interpreter or acquaintance attends as the patient's representative to hear the results of tests, that representative must present the patient's consultation card and a letter of authorization signed by the patient. Please be aware that, if the representative does not have a letter of authorization and the patient's consultation card, the hospital will not be able to accept your request. Please also note that, even with a letter of authorization, the hospital will not be able to provide the representative with any consultation, diagnosis, or prescriptions for the patient.
